Pictures tell a thousand words.

For this post I have decided to let the pictures tell the story. That is all.

That's all folks.

Liebster Award.

I always get excited when a new visitor leaves feedback. It really makes my entire week! Gives me fuel for my blogging fire. I was in Savannah checking my email while my car is cooling off and I read this:
"Beth @ beingfrankenfield (http://beingfrankenfield.com/) has left a new comment on your post "Does the label really make a difference?":

Interesting!! I always wonder if organic is worth the extra expense and have never bought in. But I might have to try it...

I also wanted to tell you I love your blog and have nominated you for a Liebster Award! Here is my post with the details: http://beingfrankenfield.com/2014/08/18/liebster-award/

I hope you'll accept and in turn nominate other great bloggers!!"
First let me say I screen shotted that bad boy to my mom. I was so excited. I am a new blogger so any feedback from someone I don't know is a big deal! She is a great blogger as well. Let me add that she is a grammar freak and she STILL likes my blog. Oh gosh. I guess I better pay better attention to my grammar...Here goes nothing.
Here are the questions Beth wants me to answer:
What’s your favorite food and why?
Oh gosh. Anything with pasta in it.  If I don't have to cook because Adam isn't home and Caden wants mac n cheese...my "go to" dinner is noodles and sauce. Actually I may cook me up some for breakfast...yes I think I will. Any and all noodles. Any and all sauces. (except for cheap alfredo...yucky) Why? I have no idea. After about 15 years of a noodles and sauce you would like one would get sick of it...nope just the opposite. I can't get enough. Adam jokes and says if he never has another noodle to dinner it would be ok. Then I break out my homemade alfredo and he backs off that statement fast.
What’s the last book you read, and would you recommend it?
Right now my obsession with learning about Herbs is unquenchable. I can't seem to get enough information about Herbs and how they work. My last book I read was "Herbal Remedies for Children's Health" by Rosemary Gladstar. She is a fantastic writer and I really enjoy her easy remedies. I do recommend it.
 Cat person or dog person?
I am a sucker for animals. I used to have them in my house. I would bring home any random stray. I couldn't help it. Now that I have my son...I don't do that so much. We have two dogs and I think once they pass on...we may not get anymore. I know. Its a terrible thing to say. Don't get me wrong I love them...I just don't have the time I want to spend with them.
 Dodgeball or 4-Square?
Good question. I always got targeted in school for dodgeball because I was an easy target...so I will go with 4-square.
If you could remodel any room in your house/apartment/etc which would you remodel and how?
Oh gosh. Interesting question. Since we just bought a house that is in desperate need of renovations...and since I have to start with one....I am going to probably pick the living room. Its so beautiful and big. Right now it is screaming for some color on the wall and new flooring! Its been a little neglected. I want it to look like a farmhouse living room. Beautiful hand scraped hardwood floors. Burlap curtains. Maybe a milky based paint on the walls. I would love to find some old barn wood to reclaim and make some furniture out of it. We shall see how things go.
Do you read the book before watching the movie?
It really depends on if my sister tells me about the book first BEFORE I see the movie. I don't read out of "pleasure". I know that sounds weird, but if I pick up a book its because I am researching something. I am lame. I know.
 Biggest driving pet peeve?
Oh gussy. Can I say this without getting into trouble. I can't stand a woman driver on her phone. Can I say that? Its true. If there is a slow driver swerving...I can bet its a girl on her phone not paying attention. Sorry. True story.
If you were granted one wish, what would you request?
I am not big on wishes. I do wish, however, that I got to spend more time with my grandma before she died. I miss her terribly.
 What’s your funniest joke?
I am pretty sure I don't have a signature joke..I don't have the memory for that. However I am pretty random and I think my sarcasm makes me who I am.
What’s one thing that surprised you (pleasantly or unpleasantly) about parenthood?  What have you learned from it?
I am NOT a patient person. Its for sure a terrible crack in my personality. I am working on it. I went from working at a job where everyone listened to me. Then being a stay at home of an 18 month old who...well...didn't speak English was a terrible way to start out life as a new stay at home mom.
What I learned. They are their own person.
What’s something you want other bloggers/readers to know about you/your blog?
I try really hard to portray life as it really is around here. No frills. No lies. No one really wants to read a blog that says "My life is more perfect than yours. Please follow me if you want to be me" Really? Barf. Maybe you do...if so...sorry if I insulted you. ok not really.
There you have it folks. Life around my brain. Hope you chuckled a little bit.
btw...I am cooking noodles for breakfast. True story. AND they will have lots and lots of parmesan cheese smothered all over it. Don't judge me. No it isn't Whole30 approved. That still has yet to happen....I am a complete failure.
Now I’m passing it on and paying it forward.
As some background, the Liebster Award is awarded by one blogger to another as a way to help blogs with great content but lower numbers of followers get their names out there.  It’s a great way to pay it forward and help your blogging reach grow!  The award also comes with a series of questions (supplied by the nominator) for each nominee to answer.  It is really a neat idea!
Here are my nominees:
Perspicacious Ginger

A calm in the storm for now.

I have a few moments before life gets crazy again and what do I want to do?!!! Blog. Yes its true. I have almost felt lost the last few weeks not blogging, but my OCD and my anxiety wont let me concentrate on anything else but what we have going on right now. I apologize for not being normal.
Let me update you on what has happened in the last few weeks while I have been gone.
1. Finally bought our house by Adam's new store! Thank goodness! She is mine...all mine. I can't wait to get inside and start making her my own. Go out side to check out the yard and what do I find in the backyard? An Elderberry tree! Heavenly Father does answer prayers. Now to sell my house in Birmingham. Prayers please.
2. Caden had his first trip to the Emergency room for a cut! It was a total FREAK accident. Seriously. How many boys get cuts with a hot wheel? SMH...mine. Its a family thing I swear. After 3 hours waiting in an ER and a little glue and tape and we were as good as new. No biggie.

3. Adam taking his first trip as a Store Manager to Colorado for the Holiday meeting. He said he wasn't excited, but he did get to see people he hadn't seen in a while. Getting him ready for that was interesting. Note to anyone who is reading this (especially if you are a man) listen to your wife when she says "Babe lets go buy you a sports jacket..." mmmk! Did I mention the day after he got home we closed on our house???
4. My amazing husband has worked non stop since he took over a "sister" store. He is a hard worker, but the extra stress the responsibility has put on our family has been a little over bearing. I don't handle change well and neither does my son. I need a structured routine. Well last week we took a mini impromptu vacation to Savannah, Georgia. Not all vacations need to be expensive. This one was super cheap! I am just happy Caden got to spend time with his daddy and I got to sit in the car and hold his hand. I was a happy girl.
5. Next week we officially move. I am so thankful for all that Walmart has done. I know so many people have hateful things to say, but you never get to hear the good things Walmart does. Most of the time its because the people who have bad things to say are the ones who couldn't hack it or don't work hard. Walmart has been nothing but good to Adam. Starting out as a part time Garden Center lot boy loading cow poop to a Store Manager. Its a fairy tale story if you ask me.
Thank you for stopping by. I have several more posts coming. I will have them scheduled...so stop by in a few days for something exciting news and our recent trip to Savannah.
